FLYING / TRAVELLING VS TEETH

Flying with having fresh dental work sometimes could give us toothache experience due to air pressure imbalance because the change in latitude while in flight. The level of pain will depend on how sensitive your teeth are and how close the dental work towards nerve.
Toothache can occur when air enters your teeth through a crack / cavity / or space in your filling then it expands because of the pressure change while flying. One thing to take into consideration when it comes to infected tooth that has abcess or is beginning to abcess will also become more acute with the change in air pressure.

What is abcess?
- Tooth abscess is a pocket of pus that's caused by a bacterial infection.
- Due to the deep cavity or a chip or a crack in your tooth, bacteria can enter the innermost part of the tooth.
- Can occur at different regions of the tooth for different reasons.
- This result or infection or inflammation this can cause abcess inside the gums. In lay man term (plus/swelling)
- Leaving a tooth abscess untreated can lead to serious, even life-threatening, and cause a lot more complications.


What can be done, rinse your mouth with mouthwash / salt water / floss to dislodge anything that might be stuck in your teeth. Painkillers can be taken to help with the pain. See your dentist promptly if you have any signs or symptoms of a tooth abscess. Before it's ruin your holiday mood.
